Commitment Period

This Agreement is of 3 years duration. Institutions may join the agreement at any time during the agreement period. They will then be committed to the end of the Agreement Period unless they have taken a single year commitment AND provided appropriate cancellation notice.

Eligible Institutions

Universities, colleges and other learning, educational and research bodies in the UK and Republic of Ireland.

Other organisations aligned with Jisc’s charitable objectives of supporting education, research bodies and the public sector may ask to participate in the Agreement. Chest will liaise with the Supplier about any such requests.

International in scope, PsycTESTS® is a repository for full text of psychological tests and measures, as well as a rich source of structured information about the tests. A wide variety of test types are included in the database, including achievement and aptitude tests, intelligence tests, tests of cognitive functioning, occupational tests, personality tests, and so on. In-depth indexing of the tests and related information allows your users to quickly identify the availability of tests in a certain area and to find helpful information for their research and studies.

Descriptive summaries of the test and its development and administration, mostly drawn from articles in peer-reviewed journals or books, with downloadable tests.

The Master Test Profile summarizes the test and provides purpose and construct; records for development, review, or use provide additional details.

Some tests have multiple records. There may be a development and a review article for a single test, for example.

  • APA PsycNET - twice weekly
  • EBSCOHost - daily
  • OVID - Data is loaded on to the Ovid servers according to the frequency of its supply by the APA
  • ProQuest - Data updates are performed upon receipt of metadata from APA.
    There might be up to a 1-2 day lag period from receipt of the data to when the data appears on ProQuest platform, but usually content is updated as it comes in from the provider.
