The Commonwealth Secretariat’s publications are a key part of the organisation’s mission to work as a trusted partner for all Commonwealth people as a force for peace, democracy, equality and good governance; a catalyst for global consensus-building; and a source of assistance for sustainable development and poverty eradication. For the first time, these publications are now available online in a single research repository, The Commonwealth iLibrary. The Commonwealth iLibrary has been developed in partnership with OECD Publishing as part of the IGO Partnership Programme.
Agreement start date: 1 February 2019

Agreement invoice date: Institutions will be invoiced on 1 November 2019 and 2020

Site licence
This Agreement is of 3 years duration. Institutions may join the Agreement at any time during the Agreement period. They will then be committed to the end of the Agreement Period unless they give appropriate notice to cancel.
Notice to cancel must be received by 01 October 2019 or 01 October 2020.

Universities, colleges and other learning, educational and research bodies in the UK and Republic of Ireland.
Other organisations aligned with JISC’s charitable objectives of supporting education, research bodies and the public sector may ask to participate in the Agreement. JISC will liaise with the Supplier about any such requests.
The Commonwealth iLibrary was added into the OECD Chest Agreement in 2017, and remains part of the Agreement, which has been going since 2010. The renewal overlaps with the previous agreement to allow new subscribing sites to participate beyond the expiry of the previous agreement.

The Commonwealth iLibrary offers wide ranging research and knowledge to a variety of audiences:
Most content is available to access in PDF format for subscribers, more recent content is also offered in ePub format; and full READ access for all users by clicking the READ icon. READ editions are optimised for browser-enabled mobile devices and can be read online wherever there is an internet connection - desktop computer, tablets or smart phones. They are also shareable and can be embedded.
