Product Descriptions

License Dashboard for academic institutions is an advanced software asset management (SAM) solution designed to meet the unique challenges faced by universities, colleges, and research centres. It enables educational IT departments to efficiently manage software licensing, ensure compliance, and maximize budgetary impact in dynamic academic environments.

With its powerful inventory capabilities, License Dashboard quickly identifies installed software across networks and maps usage to licensing entitlements. It supports a wide range of vendors, including Microsoft, Oracle, VMware, and Adobe, ensuring that compliance is never left to chance.

The intuitive dashboard provides actionable insights through real-time reporting, enabling better decision-making and strategic planning. Whether you're navigating audits or looking to reduce costs, License Dashboard makes it easy to identify unused software, manage renewals, and forecast future needs.

Summarized below are the key business benefits:

Automated license intelligence: License Dashboard automates the reconciliation of license entitlements against software usage, ensuring compliance with vendor agreements and reducing the risk of audit penalties. It supports a wide range of academic licensing models, including Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) calculations, which are particularly relevant for institutions with part-time staff and students.

Centralized compliance monitoring: The platform provides real-time visibility into your institution’s licensing position. It generates compliance baselines and risk logs, helping IT and procurement teams proactively manage entitlements and avoid overspend.

Data integration and visualization: License Dashboard integrates with existing inventory data sources and supports connectors for platforms commonly used in academic environments. It offers visual dashboards to track software usage, license allocation, and compliance trends across departments and faculties.

Cost optimization and strategic planning: With detailed reporting and analytics, institutions can identify underused licenses, optimize renewals, and plan future software investments more effectively.

Academic-focused onboarding and training: Institutions benefit from structured onboarding, including workshops to gather and validate historic license evidence (e.g. EULAs, purchase records), and access to the License Dashboard Academy for self-paced and instructor-led training.

Flexible deployment options mean it can adapt to any IT environment, on-premises, hybrid, or cloud, while integrations with procurement and ITSM platforms enhance operational efficiency.

Ideal for IT managers, procurement teams, and SAM professionals, License Dashboard transforms software management from a reactive task into a proactive strategy. Reduce waste, stay compliant, and uncover hidden savings, all in one intelligent platform.
