SAS Agreement Renews

We are pleased to announce the “SAS- Renewals Only” agreement has renewed for a further year, to 31 July 2027. 

Institutions renewing SAS without changes are eligible for legacy pricing with an increase in line with previous years. To renew your current SAS licence as-is, please place your order via SAS - Renewals Only 

This is a further extension of the existing agreement; SAS are currently stipulating that we move on to their new licensing model, effective August 2027.  We will be discussing this further once this renewal is completed.

Current SAS licences have a 15-day grace period applied, which ends 15 August 2026. If you do not renew your licence, SAS will no longer be accessible after this date.

If you wish to modify your existing SAS licence, it cannot be renewed under the SAS renewals only agreement.  

We recommend carefully evaluating whether changes to your current licence are necessary. If you wish to make changes to your existing SAS licence, or you are a new SAS customer, please contact help@chest.ac.uk and we will refer your query to SAS.

Licence keys 

SAS will issue licence keys for all orders as quickly as possible following receipt of the order form (as passed to them by Jisc, via Chest). At busier times, this may take several days, so we encourage you to submit your renewal order as soon as possible. 

You do not need to wait for your finance department to make payment before you receive your licence keys. 

Your current SAS licence expires on 31 July 2026. Licence keys have a 15-day grace period applied. If you do not renew your institution’s licence(s), the software will stop working on 15 August 2026
